Is there such a thing? Yup and it's delightfully easy. Does anyone look forward to cleaning soap scum off shower? No matter how bored your day, there is always something a little more enjoyable than soap scum removal- right? Dig deep, I'm sure you can find something. Watching clouds? Eating cookies? Reading a book? Clipping your toe nails?

4 steps to a soap scum free shower.

  1. After your shower do a quick rinse of shower walls, and floor and then dry shower.

  2. Get a hand held shower spray attachment- it makes step one much easier.

  3. Use a towel to dry. You can also use a squeegee but I only use squeegees for super flat surfaces like, glass doors. Towels can get into corners and around curves- plus there is a bit of a cleaning action that happens by removing the water.

  4. Don't store your soaps and shampoos and such in your shower. After your shower dry off your shampoos and store outside of shower. (This is way more satisfying than it sounds.)

This is about it. Although, if you want to create a healthier home, turn on your exhaust fan as soon as you turn on the water. Run your fan for 30-60 minutes. More if you live in damp country like the NW in winter.

This is a little 1 minute habit will keep you from spend your Saturday's scrubbing shower walls, using harsh chemicals, damaging yourself and shower in the process. Now when you walk into your bathroom your shower will greet you with a sparkle instead of the dreaded to-do project.

Oh, and this simple 4 step soap scum free plan, works the same with bathtubs and sinks! The key is minimal stuff, rinsing and drying. Easy Peas

When I was a kid my mom used to pitch a fit when we didn't rinse our the bathtub after we used it. Funny how the older I get the smarter my mom gets.

Enjoy, Your future you will thank you!
